Since 1964, the Australian Innovation Research Group (AIRG) has been a cornerstone of industrial innovation in Australia. As a pioneering forum, AIRG has enabled industrial innovators to share insights and overcome challenges in transforming research into commercial success.
Throughout its history, AIRG has been instrumental in developing generations of industrial innovators, providing them with essential knowledge, networks, and tools. The organization's consistent engagement with government has helped shape policy frameworks that foster innovation and create an environment where new ideas can flourish.
In a strategic move to strengthen Australia's innovation landscape, the Australian Industry Group (Ai Group) has now integrated AIRG's resources and expertise into its newly formed Emerging Industries Council (EIC). This merger combines AIRG's deep innovation expertise with Ai Group's strong policy advocacy, creating a more powerful platform for advancing Australia's industrial capabilities.
Former AIRG members and innovation champions are invited to continue their valuable contribution through the EIC's innovation workshops, representing a natural evolution of AIRG's mission within a broader, more integrated framework.
