The Australian Industry Group and HIA Australian Performance of Construction Index (Australian PCI®) fell by a further 6.8 points to 48.7 points in July 2021. This was the first fall into contraction since September 2020 (results below 50 points, seasonally adjusted). Results above 50 points indicate expansion in this survey, with higher results indicating a stronger pace of expansion.
