This video discusses changes to the Fair Work Act 2009 regarding casual employment, commencing on 26 August 2024.

This presentation is directed to employers who either currently engage, or may in future engage, casual employees.

If you are an employer who only engages full-time or part-time employees, and do not intend to engage casuals in future, these changes may not have direct relevance to you. However, they may still be of some indirect relevance.

For example, if you engage a labour hire firm who provides you with employees engaged on a casual basis, you may notice the labour hire company is making changes to how it engages its workforce going forward.
