On 2 December 2022, the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Secure Jobs, Better Pay) Act 2022 (Cth) (Amendment Act) was passed by the Commonwealth Parliament and received Royal Assent on 6 December 2022.

To assist Members Ai Group has created a useful guide which provides an overview of major changes introduced through the Amendment Act.

Ai Group has previously provided members with an initial guide to the proposed changes in the amending bill. A number of amendments were made to the bill before it was passed by Parliament. A consolidated version of the Amendment Act can be found here.

Ai Group has played a leading role in publicly expressing its concerns about the Amendment Act. Ai Group also appeared in a Senate Committee hearing and filed extensive written submissions to the Senate Committee which comprehensively set out our concerns.
