Ai Group Workplace Lawyers’ Colin Chang has been shortlisted for a prestigious legal award for the second year running.

Mr Chang, recently promoted to Senior Associate, was today announced as a finalist in the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards 2023.

“I am overjoyed and thankful to be named among the ten finalists in the Employment and Workplace Relations category,” he said.

“This reflects the successes that my team at Ai Group Workplace Lawyers and I have achieved in helping our clients navigate the most significant workplace relations reforms introduced by the ‘Secure Jobs Better Pay Act’ in over a decade.”

The Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards highlight the exceptional skills and talents of aspiring young legal professionals across Australia while acknowledging their achievements and enthusiasm for the legal profession.

Mr Chang, based in Sydney, was a finalist in the same category last year.

Ai Group Workplace Lawyers' National Manager of Legal & Consulting Services Jackie Power said she was thrilled Mr Chang had been recognised again.

“It’s an absolute credit to him because he is an amazing young lawyer,” she said.

He has become a trusted adviser through his expertise and the relationships that he has developed with our clients. We are very proud of him — it is thoroughly well-deserved.”

Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy said being nominated for one of the 30 category awards was a huge boost to the career of emerging lawyers.

“In today’s rapidly evolving legal services marketplace, standing out from the crowd is more critical than ever,” he said.

“Being a finalist, and maybe even a winner, will accelerate your career trajectory.”

Winners will be announced at a black-tie event in Sydney on June 2.
