"Industry welcomes the Senate vote to split the 'Closing Loopholes' Bill. This would allow better scrutiny of the more contentious and economically disruptive aspects of the Bill," Innes Willox, Chief Executive of the national employer association Ai Group said today.
"We encourage the Government to accept the Senate vote and split the Bill given the widely held concerns with the Bill as it stands.
"If passed in its entirety the Bill would introduce radical workplace changes that would disadvantage both industry and workers.
"It is vital that Parliament has a closer and more robust look at the implications of the many problematic provisions in the Bill," Mr Willox said.
