Last month, a Full Bench of the Fair Work Commission held hearings to determine an application by the Australasian Meat Industry Employees Union (AMIEU) to vary the Meat Industry Award 2020 (Meat Award). Broadly, the AMIEU is seeking to have various indicative tasks listed at Clause A.3 – Classifications of the Meat Award moved into higher classifications.
Ai Group is seeking feedback regarding the definitions proposed by the AMIEU and other respondent parties for inclusion at Schedule A – Classifications of the Meat Award.
Ai Group has until 15 November 2024 to put forward any alternate proposed definitions. We request that any feedback from members is provided by 5.00pm AEDT on Wednesday 13 November 2024.
