The Australian Industry Group Australian Performance of Manufacturing Index (Australian PMI®) increased by a further 2.8 points to 58.5 points in April 2022 (seasonally adjusted), indicating a stronger pace of expansion. This was the highest monthly result for the Australian PMI® since July 2021 and a third consecutive month of recovery from the severe disruptions of COVID-19. Results above 50 points indicate expansion, with higher results indicating a faster rate of expansion.
