On 3 October 2024, Ai Group filed a submission in response to a Statement issued by Justice Hatcher, President of the Fair Work Commission (FWC) regarding three applications for minimum standards orders filed by the Transport Workers' Union (TWU). These applications are the first of their kind under new legislative provisions that apply to 'regulated workers', which were introduced as part of the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes (No.2)) Act 2024 (Cth). The Statement invited submissions regarding Justice Hatcher’s provisional views relating to how the matters should proceed to be dealt with by the FWC.
