Innes Willox, Chief Executive of Ai Group, will be launching the report Cyber readiness in Australian industry. Ai Group recently conducted our first Cyber Security Survey to better understand how Australian business is responding to this growing threat that affects all of us, regardless of business size or industry.

Our research analyst Colleen Dowling discussed our findings that show cyber incidents now affect around one-in-five businesses annually, with impacts ranging from the disruptive to the destructive.

Ai Group also launched our Cyber Security Member Reference Group with Jason Brown, Principal Advisor - Risk and Security to the Board of Thales Australia and New Zealand, who spoke about 'Cyber Security’s Role to Safeguard Australia'.

Jason represented Ai Group on Committee IT-012 Information security, cybersecurity and privacy protection and is actively involved in the cyber security space. Jason also is the Chair of the ISO Risk Management Technical Committee, Chair of the Australian Standards Committee - Security and Resilience, and National Security Director for Thales in Australia and New Zealand.

He was discussing the threats, solutions and opportunities that cyber security presents and will also be providing an update on cyber security standards under development at Standards Australia.
