Whatever the industry, today's employers are faced with the need for their employees to grasp and work with increasingly higher levels of technology – with a notable accelerator being Generative AI.

At the same time employers have been reporting a parallel need for human abilities, including social skills, to assist workers to connect with each other in hybrid environments and to complement work undertaken alongside sophisticated machines. Humans need greater levels of cognitive awareness and must develop 'futures literacy' amongst other skills.

In its July webinar the Ai Group Centre for Education and Training explores the mix of digital and human skills needed. Is there a need for a new combination of these skills that is changing the nature of work? What are the implications for the development of these skills during tertiary education?

Presenters:

Patrick Kidd, CEO, Future Skills Organisation

Associate Professor Retha de Villiers Scheepers, School of Business and Creative Industries, University of the Sunshine Coast

Host:
Megan Lilly, Executive Director, Centre for Education & Training, Ai Group
