A Certificate of Origin (CoO) is a document that identifies goods, including the place of production or manufacture of goods, and is required by two different stakeholders in the international trade chain when exporting to specific countries: customs agencies in order to facilitate customs clearance and the banking system, when it’s stipulated in a letter of credit.
