This is the first in a series of videos in which we will be discussing a number of the most significant changes from the Fair Work Legislation Amendment (Closing Loopholes No.2) Act 2024, passed on 12 February 2024.

Numerous changes to the Fair Work Act since 2021 have fundamentally altered many of the laws that apply in our workplaces, and the Closing Loopholes No.2 Act included a number of complex and controversial measures that will heavily impact workplaces.

In this presentation, we look at the new 'Right to Disconnect' provision, that allows employees to refuse to monitor work communications outside of their working hours if the refusal is reasonable.

Tony Melville, Ai Group's Head of Corporate Affairs, is joined by Brent Ferguson, Head of National Workplace Relations Policy, who was deeply engaged with the Government in consultation during the drafting of the new laws.
