Frequently Touched Surfaces

Should be frequently, mechanically cleaned.
Determine a suitable frequency and record when cleaning is undertaken.
Detergent solution (as per manufacturer’s instructions) or detergent/disinfectant wipes can be used (so long as mechanical cleaning is achieved).
Follow cleaning with sanitizing/disinfecting with bleach or other suitable solution.

Detergent solution/wipes (as per manufacturer’s instructions) are adequate for cleaning general surfaces.
Damp mopping is preferable to dry mopping.
Walls and blinds should be cleaned when visibly dusty or soiled.
Window curtains should be regularly changed in addition to being cleaned when soiled.
Sinks and basins should be cleaned on a regular basis.

Consider use of wipeable covers for electronics.
Remove visible contamination if present.
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for cleaning and disinfecting.
If no manufacturer guidance is available, consider the use of alcohol-based wipes or sprays containing at least 70% alcohol to disinfect touch screens.
Dry surfaces thoroughly to avoid pooling of liquids
