Since its foundation in 1964, the Australian Innovation Research Group (AIRG) has provided a forum for industrial innovators to share best practices in translating industrial research into commercial outcomes.
These activities have provided a foundation for developing the next generation of industrial innovators, and working with government to shape the policy frameworks that facilitate successful innovation outcomes.
This mission remains vital to Australia’s future and is best served by focussing the effort of all those committed to it.
To this end The Australian Industry Group has thrown its support behind the AIRG by taking over management of its resources and rationalising efforts though a soon to be formed body, the Emerging Industries Council (EIC).
Ai Group has long acted as a voice for Australian Industry, providing leadership on issues of policy which affect Australian commercial enterprises.
Ai Group’s Emerging Industries Council will have the broad mission of forming a community of members concerned with developing and growing the industries of the future. As such, topics of interest could include advanced manufacturing, cyber security and environmental sustainability, emerging technology such as quantum and AI, and new domains such as space and the deep ocean.
If you are interested in continuing to promote the AIRG agenda, please consider participating in the innovation workshops that will progressed by the Emerging Industries Council.
