This service, supported by the Australian Government’s Office of the Federal Safety Commissioner (FSC), helps residential builders establish their safety systems to gain accreditation under the FSC Accreditation Scheme.
We are collaborating with the Federal Safety Commission (FSC) and the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) to achieve their goals of increased FSC WHS accredited residential builders to contribute to Australia’s housing goals and safer work sites.
Ai Group can help businesses gain accreditation under the FSC WHS Accreditation Scheme by reviewing their WHS Management Systems and supporting them to resolve gaps to be ready for FSC WHS accreditation audit.

Below is an overview of how we will work with you towards FSC accreditation.
To start your journey, please complete our Get Safe Ready form. We will run a high-level check on your eligibility to be OFSC accredited as defined by the accreditation scheme. This is not a check on your safety systems. That comes soon.
If you are eligible, we will contact you and set you up with an Ai Group online membership at no cost. This will give you access to all our members’ WHS resources, OFSC-training modules and more. This will be available to you for 1 year from sign on.
We review your WHS Safety Management Systems and identify gaps and can provide services to resolve them.
Next, we take a deeper dive with a gap analysis to see if your WHS Management System (WHSMS) aligns with FSC audit criteria. If we find any gaps, you can engage us to resolve them.

Self-assessment Diagnostic Tool – a self-assessment tool to assist you with determining how ready your safety management system is in alignment with the FSC audit criteria.
Safety Management System Starter Template – for builders who do not yet have a safety management system, Ai Group offers a template to get you started in developing your own safety management system.
Learning Management System – impactful training modules are designed to assist you to raise awareness and implement your safety management system.
Ai Group Health and Safety Resource Centre – online access to Ai Group’s comprehensive resources, templates, tools, webinars and videos to assist you with embedding your safety management systems.
FSC WHS Audit – once you believe you have your systems in place, Ai Group offer a WHS Audit in line with FSC criteria to determine if any gaps exist prior to your accreditation audit.
WHS Advice and Support – access to Ai Group’s dedicated WHS Consultants, to assist you with answering any of your questions and queries.
You need this to apply for accreditation. FSC Online allows non-accredited companies to apply online for accreditation and accredited companies to apply for reaccreditation under the Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme. Create that here.
