Ai Group Export Readiness Program aims to prepare businesses for successful international expansion. Participants will gain practical knowledge and skills to engage in international trade.

Shirley Ng - The Australian Industry Group National Manager, International Competitiveness

Shirley has extensive experience in helping Australian businesses expand into international markets. Working in a diverse range of business types and industries at both strategic and operational levels, Shirley has developed, managed, and administered a range of strategic export marketing programs aimed at assisting businesses to achieve growth and export sustainability including cross-border initiatives such as eCommerce, online platforms, and marketplaces.

Throughout her career, Shirley has worked with many Australian businesses to develop and implement a range of export marketing & sales strategies designed to achieve global growth including how to use and leverage Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to grow business and achieve exports sustainability. Key market experience in North & Southeast Asia, USA, UK, and Europe.

How you will learn?

The Export Readiness Program will be held as training workshops and will include a mix of interactive discussions and provided learning materials. As an interactive training course, these workshops will not be recorded, and you will have to commit to attending to learn.

These FREE workshops will be held in-person at your local Ai Group Office or ONLINE for a duration of up to 3 hours. Upon completion of the workshop, you can engage Ai Group Specialists to develop and progress your export strategy or discuss your next steps on a fee for service basis.

  • Navigating export regulations, licenses, and permits.
  • Protecting Intellectual property rights

Product Adaptation and Localisation:

  • Adapting products or services for foreign markets.
  • Cultural considerations and localization of marketing materials.

Logistics and Supply Chain Management:

  • Shipping methods and freight forwarding
  • Incoterms and their implications
  • Dealing with export documentation

International Marketing and Promotion:

  • The importance of an export marketing strategy.
  • Utilizing digital marketing, social media, and trade shows.
  • Building relationships with distributors, agents, and partners

Risk Management & Mitigation:

  • Identifying and managing export risks
  • Strategies for minimizing risks.
  • Next steps in exporting
