Queensland’s manufacturing businesses are navigating a growing set of challenges—rising costs, shifting market conditions, and difficulties in attracting and retaining skilled workers. In response, many businesses rely on quick fixes and short-term solutions, often operating in ‘firefighting’ mode just to stay afloat.

However, businesses that will thrive in the future are those that think beyond immediate pressures, adopt innovative strategic perspectives, and anticipate opportunities before they become obvious. This module provides the frameworks, tools, and insights needed to develop and execute a robust business strategy—one that prepares leaders for the future while balancing today’s priorities.

What You Will Learn

Over the course of a day, this interactive session will cover:

  • Building a Resilient Strategy – How to develop a flexible, future-proof business strategy in rapidly changing conditions.
  • Evaluating Strategic Options – A structured approach to weighing different strategic choices, mitigating risks, and identifying the highest-value opportunities.
  • Translating Strategy into Action – The key principles of effective execution, including resource alignment, accountability structures, and performance measurement.
  • Overcoming Execution Roadblocks – Addressing common pitfalls such as internal resistance, lack of focus, and poor communication.
  • Leading with Strategic Agility – How to foster a culture of adaptability where teams embrace change, experiment with solutions, and continuously refine their strategic direction.
